All sessions are private, confidential, not recorded, and you are free to pause or leave at any time.
Peer support online are private, one-on-one conversations with trained peers who have lived experience with mental health challenges. These sessions are not about fixing you, diagnosing you, or telling you what to do. They are about being heard, understood, and supported by someone who knows from experience what it can feel like to struggle.
Our peers are people who have walked their own paths through mental health challenges and are trained in the IPS Core Training (Intentional Peer Support) by Traustur Kjarni. They offer presence, understanding, and reflection, not advice or treatment.
You can come with something specific you want to talk about, or with nothing clear at all. Both are equally welcome.

Peer support at Mental Bytes is based on shared human experience. It’s a conversation between equals.
It focuses on connection, mutual respect, and understanding rather than solutions or diagnoses. A peer won’t analyze you, assess you, or try to “fix” you. Instead, they listen, reflect, and explore alongside you.

Peer support is not:
If you are in immediate danger or crisis, peer support is not the right place to start. In those cases, we strongly encourage contacting local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

You start by browsing peer profiles and choosing someone you feel comfortable with. Each peer has their own profile where you can read about their background and approach.
Before booking, you’ll be asked to agree to our disclaimer and boundaries for peer support. Once agreed, you can select an available time slot that suits you.
Sessions are held online via Google Meet. After booking, you’ll receive a meeting link for your session.
You’re free to cancel or reschedule at any time. There are no obligations, no long-term commitments, and no expectations beyond showing up as you are.
